Tom and Jo first started playing simple acoustic songs in 2006, but the soundscape of Vacation includes everything from piano pop to flat out garage rockers. The full-length album was preceded by a series of seasonally-themed EPs known collectively as The Big Scary Four Seasons.

The music of Austin's The Zoltars, is a strange mutation of punk that's both goofy and dark. Whether their intent is comical or serious, it's ear-catching and a somehow contains similarities to both The Velvet Underground and The Pixies, while still making sense.
